Women 👏 Do 👏 Not 👏 Need 👏 To 👏 Be 👏 Empowered.
To be “empowered” implies that someone has to GIVE us power—that power is something to be received.
A gift or an offering from others who inherently hold more power than we do?
Smells a little like the patriarchy, if you ask me. 🤨
So, no, women do not need to be empowered.
We need to CLAIM our power.
Power that we already possess.
Our innate power is not dependent on any external circumstance.
No one gives it, and no one can take it away.
#WomenSupportingWomen? Yes.
But empowerment?
Nah—we already possess all the power. 💪
